BBNaija Stars Sheggz and Bella Confirm Split After Four Years

Known collectively to millions of fans as “Shella,” the duo captured public attention during the seventh season of the reality show in 2022. After years of high-profile public appearances, both parties released statements confirming that their relationship dissolved earlier this year.

Sheggz broke the silence on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, releasing a public statement on his X account confirming that the couple separated in January 2026.

According to Sheggz’s public statement, the decision followed fundamental issues surrounding trust and mutual respect as they evaluated marriage. He revealed that he had previously purchased an engagement ring, intending to build a future together, but concluded that persistent underlying problems made a long-term commitment impossible.

Sheggz also outlined a prolonged medical ordeal in 2025, during which he underwent treatment in England. Upon returning to Nigeria in October 2025, he claimed he learned information that caused him to question the honesty within the relationship.

In a follow-up statement issued via her Instagram story on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, Bella acknowledged that she gave the relationship a second chance after their initial January separation because she believed people could change. However, she emphasized that a ring cannot fix underlying issues.

“A hundred promises. Not one fulfilled,” Bella wrote, adding that she eventually chose to focus on patterns of behavior rather than promises.
